We recommend neutered males for pets. They are a great option if you don't want to milk, but would like to enjoy goat antics and have some grazers. Goats are herd animals and we never recommend having just one. It's for the health of the goat as well as the sanity of the goat keeper. If you are just getting started, ask if we have a free wether with purchase of doeling.
Chocolate with moonspots. Blue eyes. White tip on tail.
Black and white. Blue eyes.
This little guy has one dark moonspot on his leg. Blue eyes.
Last one left. This guy is a chocolate swiss color with white. Bright blue eyes with hazel rim, see additional photos. Disbudded. Almost left him intact, so he's a little bigger and his band will take a little longer to fall off.
We select goats in our breeding program for milk production. Dairying is a lot of work and we want to enjoy the fruits of our labor making cheese, yogurt, and ice cream! These girls will be ready to breed at one year old. We usually wait to breed until the December after their first birthday so that kidding happens in the warmer months of May/June. At this age they are well developed and make great mothers. Ask about 4-H and multiple discounts.

Too many goats, too little time. Occassionally we have older does that we have invested in for sale. These are usually a great deal if you are ready to immediately start breeding or milking. Buck service can be added to an open doe for $50.
Sire: Prairie Wood Maximilian Blue *B
Dam: Southlake June Bug
First freshening. Fast and easy birth with twin doelings, no assistance. We have decided to keep one of her daughters, and so will be letting her go. She has a strong medial suspensory ligament and great coat and skin texture. Her teats are on the small side, but she is well behaved on the milk stand for only having a couple weeks experience. I expect her to become more developed over her second and third freshenings.
Sire: Lil Forest Rascals Blue Buddy
Mocha has been a consistent milker and great mother. This year she had triplets. She was born in 2015, and still has many freshenings in her. We just need to downsize and want to focus on our future generations. She can be sold with her daughter Marshmallow for a discount ($500 for both). Linear Appraisal on first freshening was VVV+ 83. She has not had an updated LA.
Although all of our goats have great genetic backgrounds, we only consider keeping the best boys intact. Bucks should be kept in a separate pen from your does to prevent unwanted breedings. This means you need more than one boy. Wethers make good companions for a buckling if you don't have multiple bucks. We give a discount on multiples.
